      Baptismal Service

      Sunday 27th September   |   7pm - 8pm
As we conclude the Pathway of Hope series, join us for a celebratory service as several individuals dedicate their lives to Jesus.

      What to expect?

Baptism symbolises and declares our new faith in Jesus and our trust in His forgiveness. Modern baptism means many things to many people but for Seventh-day Adventists, it's an opportunity to be fully immersed in water as a symbol of God’s act of washing away our sins—like a spiritual bath.

On Saturday 26th September, a number of individuals will be baptised across the north of England and our service on Sunday will highlight these as we celebrate in their decision.

      About the Seminar

Our world is facing a continued stream of global crises in all sectors of our society - and it’s been this way for a while now.
While many of us are growing all too familiar with the uncertainty, there are others who are yearning for real change, and real hope.

You may be thinking: “I’m one of those people.” If so, we’d like to invite you and those who are precious to you, to join us in this virtual series on finding hope through an ancient book that proves time and time again to speak more about our future with certainty than any politician or thought leader could. Why? Because it is the word of God. If this really is God’s word, there’s bound to be something that He wishes for you to hear. Which is why you’re here.

      Why should you join?

So many people have something to say about what’s going on in the world, so why should this series be of particular interest to you? We believe you should join if the following applies:

      • Are you looking for certainty in the midst of uncertainty during 2020 and beyond?
      • Are you seeking to make sense of why so much violence and evil seem to exist?
      • Are you wanting to know if there is an end to the madness in the world?
      • Are you seeking hope, peace and comfort as you look forward?

This series will give you a serious reason to believe that the Bible, despite its age and mixed reception through the ages, holds a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and promise for you, for those you love, and for the whole world.

We believe you’ll not only come to find peace in the information shared, but peace in the person of Jesus Himself.

      Virtual seminar

      Hosted on our website
We’ve made this seminar series available entirely online! You can tune in to all of the programmes straight from the comfort of your home via this website. We look forward to having you join us.

      Prayer

We're ready to pray for you and your family
Our prayer leaders meet twice daily. If you would like prayer for something you're going through, share your request below in the "Supporting You" section.

      Health slot

Keys to enjoying a healthy life
We recognise that during these unprecedented times, many want to learn more about how to take care of their physical health. In some of the programmes, there will be a short informative presentation on various health topics that will leave you feeling knowledgeable and empowered.

      Children's programme

      For ages 3 to 12
Our seminar is geared for the whole family so while your questions surrounding your future are answered, your children will be able to tune in to their very own programme, also online!

      Virtual Appeal Card

You are a person that matters to us and God, and we want you to know that.
If you are in need of someone to talk with, if you have unanswered questions, if you wish to share how Camp Meeting is shifting your perspective on life - we want to hear from you and create an opportunity for you to be heard and seen.

If you’re seeking further guidance in all things “the Bible”, express your interest in Bible studies.

Get in touch here by leaving your contact details, and someone will be in touch to hear your story and pray for you.

        Communion

As usual, there will be a Communion service on Friday evening (7:00pm - 9:00pm). This year's will be a hybrid service and all who consider Jesus their Lord and Saviour are invited to participate.

        Foot Washing

If you would like to participate in the service, we suggest you follow these instructions before the Communion Service begins:

        1. Speak with those in your household about who wants to be involved. Plan together when you’ll hold the foot washing service.
        2. Before washing one another’s feet, read an appropriate passage of Scripture [e.g. John 13:1-17; 6:48- 58] and sing a hymn or two.
        3. Take some time to reflect on the life and sacrifice of Jesus.
        4. Pray for your own spirituality as well as the other person with whom you’re conducting the service.
        5. After the foot washing, sing a hymn to close, have a final prayer, and then join the live stream for the evening service at 7:15pm.

Ellen White wrote, "Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him" (Steps to Christ, pg.94).

        Speaker: Dr Eldeen King

Dr Eldeen King was born on the Island of Antigua, better known as the “Gem of the Caribbean”. He is the last of ten children born to the late Roland and Albertha King, who taught him at an early age to love, trust and honour God.

Presently, he serves as the Executive Secretary for the same Conference.

His life and ministry have been complimented by his union to the former R. Lorraine Phillips of Newport News, Virginia. He’s contributed to countless songs, films, TV Shows, radio broadcasts and studio recordings, with accolades and awards too many to mention. Along with contributions to various Gospel and secular studio recordings as both a solist and backing vocalist, he’s performed with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Pet Shop Boys, Mike Oldfield, Dina Carroll, and Clive Griffin.

Furthermore, he’s performed for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, Princess Royal from Buckingham Palace and the now infamous lead to ‘Stand By Me’ at the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
